Twins reliever Alcala placed on 10-day IL; Jax recalled from AAA

The Twins announced Tuesday that right-handed relief pitcher Jorge Alcala had been placed on the 10-day injured list with right elbow inflammation.
Alcala has appeared in two games this season, allowing two walks and striking out two batters over 2⅓ scoreless innings. His IL stint is retroactive to Monday.
To fill out the 28-man roster, the Twins recalled right-handed pitcher Griffin Jax from Triple-A St. Paul. Jax was optioned to the minor leagues from spring training on Thursday.
