Sparky the sea lion show returning to KSTP Amphitheater at Como Harbor next month
After a four-year break, Sparky the sea lion is getting ready to debut again this spring.
Como Park Zoo and Conservatory announced the return of the Sparky Show each day at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. starting on May 7. The show will be in the new KSTP Amphitheater at Como Harbor.
Sparky has been a Minnesota tradition, working to help teach children about seals and sea lions for more than 65 years. Sparky also has a show teaching visitors about the value of recycling and protecting marine animals from plastic pollution.
The “Sparky Show” began in 1956 and is one of the zoo’s most popular attractions, hosting nearly 500,000 students each year, according to Como Park Zoo.
