Gophers coach Whalen on entering Hall of Fame and losing players to transfer portal

Gophers coach Lindsay Whalen met with reporters Wednesday afternoon. The main topics were her entrance into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and losing so many players to the transfer portal. The biggest loss is Stillwater native and starting guard Sara Scalia.

Whalen led the Gophers to a Final Four appearance as a player and won four WNBA championships with the Minnesota Lynx. She is the first Minnesota women’s basketball player to be named to the Hall of Fame.
