Gophers’ home opener canceled due to weather

The University of Minnesota baseball team’s home opener has been canceled.

The game was set to be played at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Siebert Field against North Dakota State.

Officials say a makeup date hasn’t yet been set.

Fans with tickets to the home opener can use their ticket at any other regular-season home game this season by showing up at the box office on the game day of your choice or calling 1-800-U-GOPHER.

Minnesota is scheduled to host Maryland for a three-game series starting Friday.
