Local musician Har Mar Superstar creates coloring book to support artists during COVID-19 pandemic
With the COVID-19 pandemic having a big impact on artists and musicians, local musician Har Mar Superstar and his fiancée have launched a coloring book to help those who are struggling.
"Throughout all the uncertainty and questions (many of which remain unanswered), most of us started panicking as our livelihoods were put on indefinite hiatus," the artist, whose real name is Sean Tillman, wrote. "As I write this, I still have no idea when I’ll be able to go back on tour — my main source of income — and I have been brainstorming with friends who work in the service industry, entertainment, and other businesses deeply affected by this halt of life as we know it."
KSTP’s complete COVID-19 coverage
The coloring book Tillman and his fiancée, Laura Hauser, came up with includes "illustrations of staple First Avenue artists from throughout the history of the venue."
The money raised through sales will go to support the Twin Cities Music Community Trust, which is assisting musicians during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The coloring book can be ordered here.
