Online voter registration extended until March 30 in Wisconsin
The opportunity to register to vote in Wisconsin ahead of the April election has been extended online.
The decision to reopen online registration was ordered by a federal court in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Those in Wisconsin now have until March 30 to register to vote online.
The absolute deadline for voters to request an absentee ballot is April 2, but state officials warn against waitng until the last minute due to a high volume of absentee ballot requests and possible mail delivery issues.
So far, Gov. Tony Evers has refused calls to postpone the April 7 election but said Monday that he was mulling whether to make the election mail-in only.
