Boys State Basketball: Gophers coach Ben Johnson watches Braeden Carrington and Park Center top Andover in 4A Quarterfinal

Top 4A seed Park Center pulled away in the second half in a 74-60 opening-round win over Andover in the state tournament quarterfinals Tuesday at Target Center.

Park Center seniors Braeden Carrington and Leo Torbor combined for 36 points. Carrington, a University of Minnesota signee, had 16 points and eight assists and Torbor, a San Jose State commit, scored a game-high 20 points to go along with six rebounds.

Gophers coach Ben Johnson was in attendance to watch Carrington, a Mr. Basketball finalist.
