Contractor found dead in apparent accident in Osseo

Authorities say a man was found dead Saturday night in Osseo.
According to Osseo Police, officers went to the 300 block of Second Street Northeast just after 8 p.m. to conduct a welfare check on a contractor who hadn’t been heard from in several hours.
When officers arrived, they saw a vehicle belonging to the contractor parked outside. After going inside, they found the man dead at the bottom of a deep shaft.
Police said the man’s death appears to be accidental.
Other agencies, including the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office, were called and continue to investigate his death.
