2 injured in separate St. Paul shootings
Two men were injured early Sunday morning in separate shootings in St. Paul.
According to St. Paul Police, the first shooting happened at around 12:45 a.m. in the 700 block of Marshall Avenue. Police say two men in their 20s got into a fight when one of the men pulled out a gun and shot the other in the chest. The suspect then got into a sedan and left the scene.
The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive, police say.
No arrests have been made as of Sunday morning and the case remains under investigation.
The second shooting happened at around 2:40 a.m. in the 1100 block of Marion Street.
Police say a man confronted people who were apparently trying to steal a catalytic converter when at least one of the suspects shot him in the arm and chest. The suspects then left the scene.
The victim was taken to a hospital by a private vehicle. Police say he’s expected to survive.
No arrests have been made as of Sunday morning and the investigation remains active.
