Gasper enters MLS substance abuse and behavioral health program
Minnesota United defender Chase Gasper has voluntarily entered the MLB Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health (SABH) Program, the club announced Wednesday.
Gasper won’t be available for team activities until he’s been assessed and cleared by SABH doctors.
“We admire his courage to seek help and we fully support his decision to enter this program and prioritize his own well-being,” Minnesota United said in a statement.
Gasper hasn’t played yet this season after playing in 63 games over the past three seasons, including 30 starts last year.
