Gophers women’s hockey earn #2 seed in NCAA Tournament

The Gophers women’s hockey team earned the No. 2 overall seed in the 11-team NCAA Tournament field and will host a regional later this week at Ridder Arena.

Minnesota Duluth and Harvard will play Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in Minneapolis with the winner facing the Gophers in the regional final at 2:00 p.m on Saturday.

It is the Gophers’ 19th trip to the NCAA Tournament. Earlier on Sunday, Ohio State defeated the Gophers 3-2 in overtime to claim the WCHA Final Faceoff championship. The Buckeyes are the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.

The 2022 NCAA Women’s Frozen Four will be competed in University Park, Pennsylvania from March 18-20.
