Moorhead man sentenced for distributing child porn

A Moorhead man has been sentenced to a decade behind bars for distributing child pornography.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 36-year-old Joey David Gonzales was sentenced to 10 years in prison and 15 years of supervised release for using his email and other media to advertise, solicit and trade pictures and videos showing children being sexually exploited.

He pleaded guilty to one count of child porn distribution in August.

The attorney’s office says the case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood.
