1 dead after semi v. pickup crash in central Minnesota

One man is dead after a semi-truck crash in central Minnesota Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a semi and pickup truck collided at the intersection of Highway Nine and Highway 23 at about 4 p.m. in New London Township. The pickup’s driver died as a result of the crash.

The semi-driver, 49-year-old Marc Sheets of Raymond, was uninjured.

The pickup truck’s driver, an 82-year-old man from Minot, North Dakota, will be identified by the State Patrol Thursday.

An investigation is underway. No further information is available at this time.
