Here’s what is closed on Presidents Day
Monday is Presidents Day, and just like other national holidays, that means some places are closed.
Many local, state and federal government offices are be closed, including Minneapolis, in observance of the holiday, which celebrates the birthdays of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.
In addition, parking meters in both Minneapolis and St. Paul won’t be enforced, and Metro Transit will be operating on a normal service schedule.
However, the U.S Postal Service is pausing deliveries for the day, and post offices are also closed.
Garbage collection in both of the Twin Cities won’t be affected by the holiday.
Many retailers and grocery stores will remain open, but could have impacted hours.
