Metro Mobility bus catches fire on Hwy 169

A Metro Mobility bus caught fire Friday morning on Highway 169 in Plymouth.

It happened shortly after 10:30 a.m.

Plymouth Police said the fire happened after the bus was involved in a crash. No immediate information on the crash was available but only minor injuries were reported.

Flames were then seen coming from the bus, which was destroyed.

The incident forced authorities to close a portion of northbound Highway 169, north of Highway 55, for about an hour. Lanes have since reopened.
