Aurora FC to play home games at TCO Stadium in Eagan
Minnesota’s women’s soccer team revealed its name and logo last week, and now Minnesota Aurora FC has a home field.
Aurora FC, of the newly minted USL W pre-professional soccer league, will play their home games at TCO Stadium, the club announced Thursday. The stadium is part of the Vikings’ headquarters and training complex in Eagan and has a base capacity of 5,500 that can be expanded if needed.
The club said the “first-class facility” will give players and coaches access to the Twin Cities Orthopedics medical facilities and Training Haus on the Viking Lake campus.
“We are beyond excited that we will be using TCO Stadium for home games,” head coach Nicole Lukic said in a statement. “Our players will experience a true professional environment on game day and will have a place they are proud to call home. From the playing surface, to the locker rooms, to the athletic training facilities, TCO Stadium is the perfect fit for our needs.”
While the exact seating configuration is still being worked out, the club is already accepting $30 deposits for season ticket packages.
The inaugural USL W season is slated to kick off in May. Aurora FC will release its 2022 schedule Thursday afternoon.
