Volunteers, anglers prepare for Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza

For those looking to head outdoors this weekend, the 32nd annual Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza will be underway!
Nearly 10,000 anglers from across the country will compete for $200,000 in prizes, and crews are preparing for the event, which is the largest charitable ice fishing tournament in the world.
The event is volunteer-led, and has raised about $4 million over the years for 67 charities.
100 volunteers drilled more than 20,000 ice fishing holes in hour hours for anglers.
The tournament has attracted competitors from all 50 states and 28 countries, and 13,000 people will be here to participate and watch the event.
