How COVID impacts children’s social skills
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, kids have fewer opportunities to interact with other kids. They are distance learning at school, unable to attend sleepovers and birthday parties, and not participating in sports. Because of that, there’s a delay in some children’s social skills. Researcher Allyssa Meuwissen from the University of Minnesota’s Center for Early Education and Development shared what they’re noticing — and what adults can do to help.
