UPDATE: Dog in stolen car found safe, car still missing
St. Paul police confirmed to 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS that the missing dog, Duke, was found safe and returned to his owner. The stolen car has not been located yet, and no arrests have been made.

St. Paul police are asking for help to find a missing dog that was inside a stolen car.
According to police, the car theft happened around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday on the 400 block of English Street. Officers said the victim had stopped at home to change clothes while making deliveries for Door Dash, and left her vehicle running with purse and her dog, Duke, inside.
When she came back outside, her 2020 Kia Forte was gone. Duke is a male pitbull mix.
Police want to remind people to never leave important items, people, or pets in vehicles and to not leave vehicles running unattended.
This is the 11th reported vehicle theft since Sunday, and police say that seven of the 11 vehicles were running and unattended.
