2 arrested after stolen vehicle crashes on I-394

Two people were arrested Saturday night after a crash on Interstate 394.

Minnetonka police said officers saw a vehicle driving east on I-394 without headlights on just before 9 p.m.

When officers did a license plate check, they learned the vehicle was stolen and attempted to stop it.

As the vehicle accelerated away from police, officers turned their squad lights off and slowed down.

Eventually, officers found the vehicle had spun out and crashed just west of Penn Avenue.

Other law enforcement agencies then assisted and took a passenger into custody.

After a perimeter was set up, a K9 helped officers find a male suspect hiding under a deck. Authorities say he had 10 outstanding warrants and was arrested.

The case is still under investigation.
