New trials in state’s 1st judicial district suspended through Feb. 1

New jury trials in the first judicial district will be paused through Feb. 1, 2022, due to high COVID-19 positivity rates.

Chief Judge Kevin Mark signed the order Wednesday stating that trials that have been scheduled but not yet started will be suspended through Feb. 1 due to a positivity rate of more than 20% for the counties served by the judicial district.

The first judicial district includes seven Minnesota counties: Carver, Dakota, Goodhue, Le Sueur, McLeod, Scott and Sibley.
