Woodbury attorney sentenced for swindling client out of $15K

A criminal defense attorney from Woodbury has been sentenced for swindling a client out of $15,000.

The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office says Kristi McNeilly was sentenced Monday to 180 days in the Hennepin County workhouse. She was also ordered to pay $15,000 in restitution.

Additionally, McNeilly will be on probation for three years and won’t be able to have a fiduciary relationship with clients or handle their funds.
