Firefighters fight fire at former Seaway Hotel in Duluth
Firefighters were fighting a large fire at the former Seaway Hotel building in Duluth early Monday.
Hubbard Broadcasting sister station WDIO-TV reports firefighters received a call about the fire at about 7:30 a.m. Firefighters reported that by about 8 a.m., the fire had extended from the first floor to the second floor toward the back of the building.
Firefighters were pulled from inside the building due to unsafe conditions. The department told WDIO-TV firefighters will continue fighting the fire from the exterior.
WDIO-TV reports the fire department has asked the public to avoid the 20th and 21st blocks of West Superior Street due to safety concerns.
No injuries were immediately reported, according to WDIO-TV.
