The University of Minnesota men’s basketball game against Alcorn State scheduled for Wednesday night has been canceled.
The Gophers announced the news Wednesday afternoon, citing COVID-19 health and safety protocols in Alcorn State’s program as the reason for the cancellation.
The game will not be rescheduled.
The U of M says tickets for Wednesday night’s scheduled game can be exchanged for an upcoming game against Rutgers, Penn State, Northwestern or Indiana. Ticketholders are urged to call the ticket office at 1-800-U-GOPHER.
Minnesota is scheduled to begin Big Ten Conference games on Jan. 2 against Illinois.
