10 displaced by Minneapolis house fire
A fire at a home in Minneapolis’ Willard-Hay neighborhood displaced 10 people Wednesday morning.
The Minneapolis Fire Department said crews were called to the 2500 block of Thomas Avenue North at about 8:26 a.m.
Inside the home, crews found a fire in the wall of a second-floor bathroom. They were able to extinguish the flames and contain them to that bathroom, but fire and water damage made the home uninhabitable, the fire department said.
All residents were able to safely evacuate and no injuries were reported.
The American Red Cross was called to help seven adults and three children.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
