National Hockey League postpones return to games, including Wild-Jets
The National Hockey League will not resume its regular season before Tuesday, December 28, according to an announcement made on Christmas Eve. That includes the Wild at Winnipeg game on Monday. This means the Wild’s next game is the Winter Classic on New Year’s Day vs. the Blues.
The new return date is a day later than the previous plan to resume on December 27.
The NHL said it hopes to use the extra day to analyze test results and assess Clubs’ readiness.
Players will return to practice on Sunday.
The league said that it expects to provide an update on return to play plans by the end of the day on Sunday.
