2 suspects arrested, police seek 3rd in Edina, St. Louis Park attempted carjackings

Two suspects have been arrested and police are still looking for a third person in connection with attempted carjackings in St. Louis Park and Edina earlier this month.

Early Friday afternoon, St. Louis Park and Edina police reported two suspects were arrested Thursday in connection with attempted carjackings that took place on Dec. 9.

The two suspects are being held at the Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center awaiting charges, police said. Their ages were not immediately released.

St. Louis Park Police Department and Edina Crime Prevention Fund officials said they are both continuing to offer a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspects in the Nov. 29 and Dec. 9 attempted carjackings, as well as a Dec. 6 purse snatching in St. Louis Park.

Police said they continue to have increased patrols in the cities.
