Some online programs crash as distance learning starts in Minnesota

Many schools across Minnesota who started distance learning Monday got off to a rough start.
Two online programs that many schools across the country rely on for their virtual learning were not working properly.
Schoology and Seesaw both were down for a few hours because high usage.

Gov. Tim Walz spoke about the issue during his Monday conference call.
"Thank our students and teachers who are back at it today," Walz said. "I know many are using the same technology across the country and there’s been some glitches in that."
A few weeks ago, Walz ordered schools in Minnesota to close because of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Distance learning is expected to be in place until at least May 4.
