Gov. Tim Walz ended the week by easing restrictions on businesses like bars, restaurants, gyms and indoor entertainment venues — while the week started with lawmakers offering other ways to help the hurting industries and their workers.
Meanwhile, the conversation in St. Paul turned to the issue of masks: A House DFLer introduced legislation that would require mask-wearing in public spaces, both indoors and outdoors, while the Senate Republicans heard from Let Them Play MN, a group that has complained about the Walz administration’s requirement for wearing masks during youth sports.
