2 suffered from gunshot wounds in Minneapolis, no suspects in custody
A woman and a girl both suffered from a gunshot wound Saturday night in Minneapolis.
According to the Minneapolis Police Department, at 11:03 p.m., officers responded to the 1700 block of West Broadway on a ShotSpotter notification.
Once officers arrived on the scene, they located a girl suffering from a gunshot wound that is considered to be not life-threatening on the 1700 block of Newton Avenue North. She was seen by paramedics and transported to North Memorial Medical Center.
Police said, officers received information from North Memorial that another victim, a woman believed to be in her 20’s, arrived at a North Memorial Medical Center with a gunshot wound considered to be not life-threatening. The victim reported having the injuries in the same incident as the other victim.
Both victims have cooperated with investigators. Officers located the scene of the shooting, but no one is in custody.
