COVID-19 in Wisconsin: DHS reports 1 new death, 503 cases
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported one new death from COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing the state’s total to 6,162 since the start of the pandemic.
According to the latest DHS data, 965,999 vaccine doses have been administered statewide, with 707,966 people receiving at least one dose. So far 239,442 people have completed the two-shot vaccine series.
With 503 new cases of COVID-19 reported on Sunday, Wisconsin health officials have confirmed a cumulative total of 555,303 cases.
The DHS also reported 34 new hospitalizations. A total of 25,302 COVID-19 patients have required hospitalization in Wisconsin.
So far 537,955 people have recovered or are recovering from COVID-19 infections and no longer need isolation, while 11,027 cases remain active.
