Minnesota nears milestone of 1 million COVID-19 vaccine doses administered

Minnesota is closing in on the milestone of administering 1 million doses of coronavirus vaccines.

According to the Minnesota Department of Health’s latest report on Tuesday, the state’s health care providers had administered more than 927,000 vaccine doses. However, given the reporting lag time, that is data as of Sunday.

Of those doses, more than 686,000 people have had at least their first dose while more than 240,000 people have completed the two-dose series. That means 12.3% of Minnesota’s population has had at least one dose, with 4.3% having had both doses.

More than 307,000 Minnesotans 65 and older have received at least one dose, according to the state’s dashboard.
