Minnesotans recognize World AIDS day

Dec. 1 is World AIDS day. This year, many are focusing on making testing more accessible, as well as treatments.

A daily pill can now keep AIDS from destroying the immune system and prevent those with it from passing it along to other sexual partners. This is a big difference from when the epidemic initially hit in 1981.

Minnesota has had two HIV outbreaks in the past year.
