UPDATE: Authorities said Friday that Shelton has been found and is safe.

The Bloomington Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding a 19-year-old last seen leaving her residence on Monday.

According to police, Rosaleia Garcia Shelton is considered to be a vulnerable adult, and her family is concerned about her wellbeing.

"I love her and miss her very much," Shelton’s mother, Roseabelle, told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS Wednesday.

She reportedly left her residence at about 4 p.m. Monday wearing a long, black coat, possibly gray pants, black tennis shoes and carrying a pink backpack with cats on it.

Police said she’s described as being about 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds, and having dark hair. She also has a scar over her left eyebrow, according to her family.

Police said surveillance video captured an image of her in the area of France Avenue South and Old Shakopee Road in Bloomington on Monday.

Anyone with information on Shelton’s whereabouts is asked to call the Bloomington Police Department at 952-563-4900.
