55-year-old man injured in pedestrian hit-and-run in St. Paul, no arrests made
A 55-year-old man is injured following a pedestrian hit-and-run Thursday night.
According to St. Paul Police, at about 11:30 p.m. officers were near the area of Rice Street and University Avenue West when they were flagged down by a woman pointing to a man lying in the street.
The woman said she witnessed the man get hit by a silver vehicle, fly up onto the hood and onto the windshield, then fall onto the street. The suspect vehicle fled westbound on University Avenue, according to the woman.
Officers located the victim, who was unresponsive and had injuries to his head and legs. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to Regions Hospital.
He is currently in stable condition as of Friday morning.
Police have yet to locate the suspect and suspect vehicle. No arrests have been made at this time and the case remains under investigation.
