St. Cloud man arrested in connection to Sunday shooting
A St. Cloud man was arrested Thursday in connection to a shooting that injured a man early Sunday morning.
According to St. Cloud police, officers responded to the St. Cloud Hospital Emergency Room at 2:43 a.m. Sunday after a man showed up suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
After talking to the 42-year-old victim, officers determined an acquaintance of the man had shot him near Seventh Avenue and Seventh Street South. Officers went to that location and found evidence of a shooting.
After a suspect was identified, a SWAT team executed a search warrant at a home in the 600 block of Eighth Street South on Thursday afternoon. The suspect wasn’t located there but was found later that night in a vehicle that was at a parking lot in the 2200 block of Division Street West.
Officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop and took the suspect — identified as 34-year-old Dylon Allan Aronson — into custody. He was taken to Stearns County Jail and held on charges related to the shooting.
Police said the victim had suffered life-threatening injuries but remained in the hospital in stable condition, as of Friday.
Anyone with information regarding the shooting is urged to contact St. Cloud Police at 320-251-1200, or Tri-County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-255-1301.
