1 hurt in Spring Lake Park shooting, 1 in custody

One man was hurt and another was taken into custody after a shooting in Spring Lake Park Sunday night.

According to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, police responded to the 8000 block of Buchanan Street NE at about 7:14 p.m. after receiving a report of a shooting in the area.

Upon arrival, police learned the incident took place inside an apartment within the building.

Police said a 33-year-old man was hurt in the shooting. Detectives are working with the man to gather more information about the incident.

A 36-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene, police said.

Authorities said they believe the victim and suspect know each other. The case remains under investigation.
