Robert Street Bridge in St. Paul to close this weekend
It looks like the Minnesota Department of Transportation is not quite ready to wrap up the 2020 construction season yet.
There are a couple of projects to watch out for this weekend, starting with the closure of the Robert Street Bridge in St. Paul.
Crews will be putting the finishing touches on some repairs that started earlier in the year. Now that the temperatures are going down, repairs will be made to joint expansion pieces that contract in cold weather.

The bridge, south of downtown St. Paul, will close from 5 a.m. Saturday until 5 p.m. Sunday. Drivers and pedestrians can use the Wabasha Street Bridge instead.
In the west metro, Highway 62 will be closed Thursday night from Shady Oak Road to Highway 212. The roadway will reopen by 6 a.m. Monday. Motorists are being diverted to Highway 212 and I-494.
Meanwhile, watch for some lane and ramp closures along I-35W Friday morning. The roadway will be reduced to two lanes on the northbound side between 46th Street and 32nd Street in south Minneapolis from 9:30 a.m. to 1p.m. The ramp from 46th Street to I-35W northbound will be closed at the same time.
