MDH: 37 new COVID-19 deaths, 4,718 newly-reported cases

Monday, the Minnesota Department of Health reported*:

  • 37 new deaths from COVID-19
  • 4,718 newly-reported positive COVID-19 tests

*Data posted on Mondays represents data as of 4 a.m. on Fridays.

Additionally, MDH said:

  • 7.55 million COVID-19 vaccinations have been administered
  • 3.33 million people have completed the vaccine series
  • 69% of those 5 and older have received at least one dose of the vaccine

As of Monday, MDH also reported:

  • 83,933 total breakthrough cases, accounting for 2.569% of fully vaccinated Minnesotans
  • 3,638 total breakthrough hospitalizations, accounting for .111% of fully vaccinated Minnesotans
  • 620 breakthrough deaths, accounting for .019% of fully vaccinated Minnesotans

Meanwhile, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported, as of Monday, all 87 counties in Minnesota remained at a high level of COVID-19 community transmission.

According to the CDC, counties in red have a high level of community transmission, in orange have a substantial level, in yellow have a moderate level and in blue have a low level.
