Moorhead man sentenced to probation for role in US Capitol riot

A Minnesota man has been sentenced for his role in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Jordan Kenneth Stotts, 32, of Moorhead, was sentenced on Tuesday to two years of probation, court records show. Three other charges were dismissed as part of a plea bargain.

He was arrested back in March by FBI Minneapolis field office agents after the FBI received a tip from someone claiming to be a former classmate of Stotts who noticed his social media activity seemed to indicate he was involved in the Capitol riot.

The posts included a 360-degree video from inside the Capitol Rotunda and a photo taken from the steps of the Capitol with the comment, "Patriots! I got kicked out but I’ll be back!"
