Workers outside the Hennepin County Government Center Wednesday for a better contract with the county.
The union representing librarians and clerical workers says the county hasn’t used federal money to address their concerns.
"We need wages that keep up with the cost of inflation, and the county received about a half-billion in COVID funding but have not used any of that for hazard pay or for remote work segments, Union President Ali Fuhram told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS.
Hennepin County said in a statement that they will continue bargaining next week in good faith and that they hope to reach a settlement soon.
