There are more construction changes for the north metro! If you’re hoping to get out of town this weekend, be prepared for additional traffic shifts along Interstate 35W.
Earlier this week, a new road layout went into place along the northbound side of I-35W between Highway 10 and Lake Drive in Blaine. Use the right access lane to exit off of I-35W or the left through lane if you plan to travel straight through the work zone. This is the latest segment along I-35W to adopt this new traffic pattern. Drivers will now encounter the new road layout on the northbound side starting at County Road C in Roseville all the way up to Sunset Avenue in Lino Lakes as part of the larger I-35W MnPASS project.
For the second weekend in row, Highway 7 is closing in Victoria. The roadway shuts down Friday at 7 p.m. between Casamita Road and Merrywood Lane. The westbound lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday. The eastbound side will remain closed through mid-October.
If you’re traveling along Highway 12 this weekend, single lane work is in place between Montrose and Delano. Crews will work Monday through Saturday from sunrise to sunset through early October. Traffic has been slow during the morning and afternoon drive times this week.
There’s some good news for Highway 61 in Red Wing. All lanes are open near Highway 63. Crews also lifted the detour along 825th Street from Wisconsin. The roadway has been under construction all summer as part of a bridge replacement project.
