Battle leads Gophers past Concordia in exhibition game
Former DeLaSalle star Jamison Battle scored 24 points as the Gophers men’s basketball team beat Concordia-St. Paul 80-67 in an exhibition game at Williams Arena Monday night.
Payton Willis, who spent last season at Charleston after playing for Minnesota during the 2019-20 season, added 23 points and five assists. Grad transfer E.J. Stephens finished with 10 points for Minnesota.
Caden Hoffman hit four three-pointers for Concordia and led them in scoring with 14 points.
The Gophers open the regular season at home against Kansas City on November 9.
