Pinky Swear Foundation is partnering with Hy-Vee to host its first-ever virtual triathlon event on a national scale to help kids battling cancer and their families.
People of all ages are invited to participate online.
Along with a $15 registration fee, participants are asked to fundraise a minimum of $50 in a variety of creative ways to help support families with a child battling cancer.
Pinky Swear Foundation said its goal is to raise more than $300,000 from the eight-week-long virtual event.
"With this event pivoting into a virtual experience this year, I am excited to see the creativity from kids and families," said Erica Campbell, executive director for Pinky Swear Foundation. "Safety is our No. 1 priority, and we, along with our partners at Hy-Vee, have some incredible activities planned so kids of all ages and abilities can participate and feel good that they are doing something good to help others."
