Class 5A Football Playoffs: Tartan upsets St. Paul Central

Tartan scored early and often to beat St. Paul Central, 48-28 in the Section 4AAAAA Quarterfinals Tuesday at Griffin Field.
The Titans don’t believe in records much. They went into the first round of the playoffs at 1-7 for the regular season, then proceeded to put up the largest point total in a single game this year and advanced to the section semi-finals.

Tartan’s punting game got very little work on Tuesday night, as the Titans offense scored at will. Tartan scored on special teams, on the ground, and via their passing game.
Tartan will face the Harding/Humboldt vs. Highland Park winner on Saturday.
