Thunderstorms will roll through the Twin Cities overnight and linger into the early afternoon Friday, according to KSTP Meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas.

The storms will move into the area after 2 a.m., and some of them could be strong to severe, Yuhas said. There’s a 90% chance for storms in the morning, and that drops to 50% by the afternoon. Once the storms clear, we’ll have a mix of sun and clouds with a high of 83 degrees.

We’ll have some more hot weather over the weekend with highs of 87 on Saturday and 90 on Sunday. There is a slight chance for thunderstorms late Sunday evening.
