KSTP has been sharing stories of kindness in this time of uncertainty for a few weeks now. Friday, we revisited a few people who were thanked for all that they’re doing.
First-grade teacher Andy Potter of Excelsior Elementary brought treats to all his students a couple weeks ago to congratulate them on their first week of distance learning.
This week, his students paid him back with a parade in front of his house with signs and treats for him.
And, last month, we told you how a Minneapolis bar owner was refurbishing his bar while closed due to the pandemic.
Dermot Cowley and some of his employees, who volunteered to help, were painting, staining and cleaning his bar, O’Donovan’s Irish Pub.
One of our viewers from St. Cloud doesn’t know Cowley but was so impressed by what he’s doing and how he’s taking care of his employees that she sent him a thank-you card with a check for $100 to help with his project.
Cowley previously told KSTP he was just trying to keep a positive attitude and do what he could.
