Bill approved to create ‘contract tracing’ program for COVID-19

Minnesota’s House ways and means committee have approved a bill to create a "contract tracing" program.
The $300 million program would identify people who may have contracted COVID-19 and allow them to isolate until the risk of contagion has passed.

"It’s very very important if we’re going to get our economy moving, keep those people out of circulation," said Rep. Tina Liebling.
The Minnesota Department of Health would be in charge of the program and the bill is now heading to the house’s floor.
