1 dead in Carver County motorcycle crash

A woman is dead following a motorcycle crash in Carver County.

The Carver County Sheriff’s Office says at about 12:48 p.m. on Tuesday, its office received a 911 call reporting a personal injury crash involving a motorcycle on County Road 40 east of State Highway 25, near Belle Plaine.

Deputies learned the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on County Road 40 when it went off the roadway. The rider, a 30-year-old woman from Belle Plaine, was transported by Ridgeview Ambulance to St. Francis Hospital in Shakopee in critical condition where she later died.

The crash is still under investigation.
