TRIA Prep Sports Salute, Oct. 13: Cooper’s Jaxon Howard

Every Wednesday at 6:50 p.m., we honor a high school team or athlete with our TRIA Prep Sports Salute.
This week’s honoree is from Robbinsdale Cooper and it’s star football player Jaxon Howard. He plays defensive end and tight end.

Howard is the top-ranked Minnesota football recruit in many, many years. He has 54 college offers, including from Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and the Gophers. Recently, Howard cut his list to these 12: The Gophers, Notre Dame, Florida, Michigan, Alabama, North Carolina, Ohio State, USC, Oklahoma, Oregon, Stanford, and Arizona State. However, Clemson recently came and watched him and could enter the picture.
Jaxon’s dad, Willie, was a star at Stanford and played a short time for the Vikings. Willie is the current head coach of Cooper.
